[TV FINANCE] OliKrom, Jean-François Letard : « The smart and luminescent paint »

Deep Tech technology from CNRS to provide color warnings
Guest on TV Finance, Jean-François Létard, founder of OliKrom, talks about the origins and ambitions of his company. Born of a technology transfer from the CNRS, the company develops intelligent pigments capable of changing color according to physical parameters such as temperature, pressure, light or the presence of a gas. These visual changes enable manufacturers to detect anomalies rapidly, without the need for electronics or sensors. This visual signal principle offers valuable time and security gains in a wide range of sectors: aeronautics, automotive, cosmetics and anti-counterfeiting.
From laboratory to industry: OliKrom structures its business model around customer support
OliKrom does not sell raw pigments, but develops paints, inks and plastics formulated to order, from proof-of-concept to production. More than 70 manufacturers are already partners, including Airbus and Safran, who use OliKrom solutions to detect impacts or map engine temperatures. The company has invested more than 5 million euros in its own factory in Pessac, France, to control the entire chain, in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. Profitable in its first year, the company raised 300,000€, then 1.5€ million, and plans to raise a further 2-5€ million to support its international growth and consider a stock market flotation in the medium term.
