Accelerated growth to meet strong demand from local authorities

In Pessac, France, Olikrom, a company specializing in photoluminescent paints, will triple the surface area of its industrial site by 2024. This decision comes at a time of strong demand, particularly from local authorities anticipating energy restrictions. Thanks to its LuminoKrom® technology, capable of capturing light during the day and illuminating for ten hours at night without the need for electricity, Olikrom is seeing its orders for crosswalks and road markings soar. However, founder Jean-François Létard points out that regulatory delays are still holding back the widespread adoption of these innovative solutions.

New production lines for innovation in several sectors

The expansion, based on the acquisition of the site next door to the former Courtepaille, will also be used to manufacture new products for the health sector (replacement of carcinogenic components), the luxury goods sector (sustainable materials), industrial safety (detection of corrosion, hydrogen, shocks) and the fight against counterfeiting. Having already grown from 12 to 24 employees between 2021 and 2022, Olikrom plans to recruit up to 50 people over the next two to three years. Road marking certification is underway, while other innovations are already in the pre-industrialization phase, confirming the company’s agile and replicable industrial model.
