Intelligent pigments to detect shocks, thermal variations and leaks<\/h2>\n

In Pessac, France, OliKrom is revolutionizing the world of technical coatings with its intelligent pigments capable of reacting to variations in temperature, pressure or the presence of gases. As soon as an impact occurs or a thermal threshold is exceeded, the color changes visually, enabling immediate visual inspection without the need for electronic equipment.<\/p>\n

In the aeronautics sector, these pigments save considerable time. Where it used to take up to two hours of ultrasonic testing per square metre to detect an impact on the body, inspectors can now visually target potentially weakened areas. In collaboration with Airbus, OliKrom has developed piezochromic (shock-reactive) and thermochromic (heat-sensitive) coatings, protected by joint patents.<\/p>\n

Multi-sector technology, from luxury to road safety<\/h3>\n

OliKrom is not limited to the aeronautics industry. Its expertise also extends to the luxury goods, healthcare, transport and anti-counterfeiting sectors. Passports, banknotes and luxury leather goods can now incorporate reactive elements to certify their authenticity with the naked eye.<\/p>\n

On the roads front, the company recently made a name for itself with its LuminoKrom\u00ae photoluminescent paint, applied to a cycle path in Arcachon. The paint absorbs light during the day and restores it for ten hours, without the need for electricity. Far more effective than conventional products, with an autonomy of 1h30, it paves the way for a new generation of safer, more sustainable urban landscaping.<\/p>\n

Present at the Paris Air Show from June 16 to 22, the company plans to announce other major innovations, demonstrating its driving role in transforming intelligent chemistry into concrete, high value-added solutions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
